Does this unit have a goal?

Hey, I'm Alexis!

I am a passionate behavior technician with a background in early childhood education (ECE). I worked as a preschool teacher until one of my student's parents introduced me to applied behavior analysis (ABA) and invited me to work for their clinic in October 2022. While I no longer strictly work in the field of ECE, many of the concepts apply to my new role in ABA.

My practices are trauma-informed and evidence-based. I believe in building loving, non-contingent relationships with my clients/students before attempting to work with them.

On this site, you will find the coursework I completed for my M.Ed. in ECE at Concordia University Nebraska, which I am due to finish Springs 2023. I will then post my post-grad coursework as I work towards becoming a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

Besides becoming a BCBA, my goal is to continue working with young people with learning/developmental disabilities and/or emotional and behavioral disorders (EBD) and their families to teach the skills and concepts that they will need to thrive and live fulfilling lives.
